TEDxBasel Talks #2 - Shlomo Graber

This time we bring you a talk with, probably, one of the most powerful messages that urges to be spread today. "LOVE IS STRONGER THAN HATE."

"I have to help myself". Shlomo Graber, a Holocaust survivor, recounts the horror of being a prisoner in a Nazi concentration camp. He shares his experiences and memories and how hope was the only way forward. Interviewed by Urs Bucher.

Shlomo Graber is a painter and writer. Born in Russian Carpathia in 1926, but raised in Nyirbator, Hungary, Shlomo and his family were sent to the concentration camp at Auschwitz in 1944. Having been freed by the Red Army in 1945 and emigrated to Israel, Shlomo has been in Basel since 1989, where he lives with the love of his life.
